Job Descriptions

Nurse (1 position) 

Keeps track of all medical forms and medications of campers and staff.
Informs Counsellors of particular medical needs of any of their campers.
Must be available at all times to administer first aid and/or any medical attention that does not require a physician.
Inspects cabins and bathrooms daily for cleanliness and tidiness.

Head Cook (1 position) 

Oversees food preparation and serving of food.
Ensures that kitchen is always clean and meets safety and health standards.
 
Assistant Cooks (2 positions) 

Assists the Head Cook in all of the above duties.
 
Groundskeeper and Assistant (1 of each position) 

Checks on the cleanliness of washrooms, gathers garbage, keeps camp ground clean and tidy, supervises the washroom maintenance tasks of the campers.
Prepares the nightly campfire (collect wood, fill water buckets, etc.).
Sets up and runs Outdoor Survival activity.
Helps with dishes and other tasks when needed.
 
Sports and Game Assistant (1 of each position)

Plans and supervises all sports (mornings) and games (evenings) and campfire activities.
Helps out with hike activity (9 to 12-year old campers).
Helps with dishes and other tasks when needed.

Crafts Director and Assistant (1 of each position)

Purchases and prepares craft materials (prior to camp) and sets up before each craft session.
Supervises crafts and clean-up afterward (2 craft sessions on each of 3 afternoons with half of the campers and staff at each).
Helps supervise water activities and rainy day activities.
Helps with dishes and other tasks when needed.
 
Drama Director and Assistant (1 of each position)

Supervises drama activity and clean-up afterward (2 drama sessions on each of 3 afternoons with half of the campers and staff at each).
Organizes two talent show nights and cabin skits on the last day of camp.
Helps with dishes and other tasks when needed.

Lifeguards (2 positions)

On duty for all waterfront activities.
Helps with dishes and other tasks when needed.

Counsellors (6 positions; must be over 17-yrs old)

Supervises a small group of campers (ages 9 to 12-yrs old) at all times, except during scheduled free time.
Responsible for cabin clean-up at the end of camp.

Counsellors-in-training (6 positions; must be over 15-yrs old)

Assists Counsellors with supervision of campers (9 to 12-yrs old), except during scheduled free time.

Leaders-in-Training (LIT) Counsellors (2 positions; must be over 18-yrs old)

Supervises and implements a Leaders-in-Training Program for campers ages 13 to 14-yrs old.

Leaders-in-Training Counsellors-in-Training (2 positions; must be over 16-yrs old)

Assist LIT Counsellor with implementing a Leaders-in-Training Program for campers ages 13 to 14-yrs old.

First-year Counsellors-in-Training and Assistants pay a camp fee of $175 to attend. All other positions are given an honorarium of $125 or service hours for school projects. CITs and Assistants may also receive service hours.
